A City Built on Trophy Bass Water

Downtown Kissimmee sits right on the north shore of Lake Toho. Kissimmee Lakefront Park and Big Toho Marina are on Lakeview Drive, just off downtown, so the lake is minutes from most hotels in town.

Toho is one of the upper lakes of the Kissimmee Chain. Water flows south from Toho through Cypress Lake and Lake Hatchineha into Lake Kissimmee, then down the Kissimmee River. Across the chain, anglers have logged 1,011 bass of 8 pounds and up with FWC's TrophyCatch program, including 174 between 10 and 12.9 pounds.

That much connected water is where a guide earns the trip. Capt. Jackson is on these lakes nearly every day and picks the water for your trip based on where the best bite is that week.

“I have been fishing with Jackson for the past four years. Being from NY and an experienced fisherman myself, Jackson is the first call I make when my family and I book our yearly vacation to Florida.”

Kissimmee Fishing Charter FAQ

Where do Kissimmee fishing charters launch?

Lake Toho trips usually start from the north shore in Kissimmee, where Big Toho Marina and Lakefront Park are. Capt. Jackson confirms your meeting point after you book, based on where the fish are biting that week.

Is Lake Kissimmee in the city of Kissimmee?

No. The lake in Kissimmee is Lake Toho. Lake Kissimmee is a separate, much larger lake more than 20 miles south of the city, close to two hours by road from downtown. See the Lake Kissimmee guide if that is the water you want.

How far is Lake Toho from the hotels on US 192?

Old Town on US 192 is about 9 miles from Kissimmee Lakefront Park, roughly a 20 minute drive. Disney Springs is about 14 miles away.

Do I need a fishing license?

Yes. Florida requires a freshwater fishing license, and you can buy one online from FWC before your trip. We'll send the link when you book.

Can we keep any bass?

Florida's limit is 5 black bass per person per day, and only one may be 16 inches or longer. Talk it over with Capt. Jackson when you book.

What happens if we don't catch anything?

Every trip carries Capt. Jackson's No Fish, No Pay guarantee: if you don't catch fish, you don't pay.
